Welcome Letter from the Division Chief

James F. McKinsey, MD
Chief, Division of Vascular Surgery
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center
Welcome to the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center Division of Vascular Surgery. As part of one of the world's leading healthcare systems, we are at the leading edge of new therapies. We diagnose and treat the full range of noncardiac vascular disorders, those conditions that involve the arteries and veins outside of the heart. Treatments involve proven state-of-the-art therapies and, when appropriate, exciting new investigational modalities.
The division is unique in that it is part of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System. This means that, in addition to receiving their vascular care at Columbia University Medical Center, patients may be seen at NewYork-Presbyterian network hospitals in Queens and New Jersey. This provides our patients access to a vast array of the most modern healthcare services available anywhere in the world.
It is important to note that the information on this website is meant to be helpful and educational, but is not meant to be a substitute for medical advice.
