Minimally Invasive Surgery
Two positions as laparoscopic fellow are offered each academic year. These positions are shared with our sister institution at Weill Medical College of Cornell. The fellowship offers broad-based training in laparoscopic surgery and the techniques of teaching minimal access surgery. The fellowships provide extensive exposure to minimally invasive bariatric, foregut, colorectal, solid organ, endocrine, and hernia surgery. Each of the three fellows spends a four month rotation with Drs. Aku Ude, Marc Bessler and Beth Schrope at Columbia, and Drs. Michel Gagner and Alfons Pomp at Cornell.
