Endocrine Surgery Fellowship

Now in its second year, the endocrine surgery fellowship at Columbia offers one position. The volume of thyroid and parathyroid surgery has been growing steadily as referrals have increased into the New York Thyroid Center developed by the late Paul LoGerfo, a true pioneer and much beloved member of the Columbia community.

The addition of a dedicated Adrenal Center and the ongoing collaboration with our internationally recognized Pancreas Center ensures that our endocrine fellows will be well versed in the rarer presentations of functional and non-functional endocrine tumors affecting both adrenal and pancreas organs.

Finally, ongoing metabolic research in the Obesity Center led by Dr. Barry Inabnet and a graduate of our fellowship, Dr. Leaque Ahmed may hold promise for metabolic endocrine surgery for Type II Diabetes.
