New Obesity Surgery Center Opens at Lawrence Hospital, Bronxville, NY

Lawrence Hospital NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is proud to introduce the Center for Obesity Surgery at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, New York. Located only 15 minutes from New York City, the Center for Obesity Surgery at Lawrence offers the same level of exceptional care at a convenient location for Westchester residents.

Daniel Davis, DO, the Center's Surgical Director, is one of the few bariatric surgeons in the country who is highly skilled in the minimal-access approach to obesity surgery, having performed hundreds of such procedures. He works with a comprehensive team of specialists including a nurse practitioner, registered dietitian, cardiologists, gastroenterologists, psychologists, pulmonologists, and endocrinologists. Dr. Davis and his team will carefully evaluate each patient for the most appropriate surgical option. After surgery, our team will provide the care and support the patient will need to maintain weight loss and adhere to a new lifestyle.

Dory Ferraro, MS, CS, ANP, the Center's Clinical Director, has specialized in the field of obesity surgery for more than ten years, and has been instrumental in the development of bariatric practices throughout the United States. She was a coordinator for the LAP-BAND® clinical trials in the US, and has worked both in the OR and outpatient setting with thousands of bariatric patients, working with them to ensure they have a positive surgical experience, and helping them to achieve their goals for a healthier weight and lifestyle. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Obesity Surgery Center at Lawrence Hospital.
