Rectal Bleeding and Itching

Rectal bleeding and itching can be caused by hemorrhoids, anal fissures, or more seriously, by internal blockage. Some internal hemorrhoids can be removed by banding during an office visit; external ones may require more extensive surgery performed in an outpatient setting. Management of anal fissures and abscesses can be initiated right in the doctor's office.
