Diseases Colorectal Disease

The General Surgery Group provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of benign and malignant colorectal diseases, ranging from diagnosis (including diagnostic colonoscopy) to treatment (including surgical and colonoscopic interventions) to follow-up. We collaborate with oncologists specializing in colorectal cancer at Columbia University Medical Center's Herbert Irving Cancer Center and with gastroenterologists with a wide range of sub-interests practicing at all of Columbia University Medical Center's practice locations. The Group employs cutting-edge techniques, including minimally invasive surgical techniques (like laparoscopy) when appropriate.
