Advanced Preceptorship
Dr. Harold Brem invites surgical wound care specialists to attend an advanced preceptorship course to further enhance their wound healing education.
This program has been designed to refine the surgical skills and debridement techniques of clinicians operating on a variety of challenging wound ulcers.
In order to attend the advanced preceptorship, attendees must possess extensive surgical experience specifically related to wounds.
This 18 CME accredited course utilizes lectures, manuscripts, surgical observation, and clinical time to detail an integrated set of wound healing procedures, techniques, therapies, and, most importantly, outcomes.
The two-day advanced preceptorship takes place at the Columbia University Wound Healing Center in New York City, during which Dr. Brem will focus on teaching the practical clinical application of all wound healing principles, including specific protocols unique to the elderly, disabled, and diabetics.
The knowledge garnered from this program will both improve individual patient outcomes and help to create a standard of care that will promote the repair and healing of all chronic wounds.
Because of the practical and interactive nature of the course, size will be limited to a maximum 6 participants per program.
