As part of our physician outreach, we oversee mailings to internal and referring physicians, announcing recent appointments and promotions, as well as new clinical programs and important research findings.

In addition to providing regular updates and maintenance work on the Department of Surgery website (www.columbiasurgery.org), we are currently engaged in a redesign effort for the site. We hope to streamline site navigation and increase its ease-of-use.

In conjunction with Drs. Daphne Hsu and Linda Addonizio, we are developing a full suite of patient- and physician-education materials for the Pediatric Cardiomyopathy Program, Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

We are working on documentary film focusing on the barriers and catalysts to medical innovation.

To mark the 10 year anniversary of Dr. Eric Rose's leadership as Chairman of the Department of Surgery, we plan to release a report that reviews the Department's achievements under his tenure.
